Abstract
During the period from the sixth to the tenth century AH, the city of ‎Damascus represented a destination for many scientific houses that included among ‎its members many great jurists, who had an important role in supporting the ‎jurisprudence movement in Damascus at that time, and this city gave birth to great ‎scientific houses in which there are competent scholars in the field of jurisprudence. ‎‎, They, too, contributed to the development of the sciences of jurisprudence, as the ‎jurists of these houses have authored many venerable jurisprudential books that ‎were and still adorn the shelves of the libraries of the Islamic world, these ‎jurisprudential families contributed to supporting the educational movement in ‎Damascus, especially in the field of teaching the sciences of jurisprudence, by ‎establishing a number of schools of jurisprudence, which became a shining lamp ‎illuminating the edifice of Arab civilization over the Islamic centuries.‎
