Abstract | ||
This study examined the relationship between quality management orientation and logistic performance, in addition to investigate the mediating role of knowledge capabilities and the organizational context as a moderating variable in Sudanese industrial companies in Khartoum state. The study model and hypotheses were developed based on the previous studies and resource-based theory. The study employed an explanatory approach. A non-probability (convenience) sampling was used. The study utilized a questionnaire for data collection. 170 questionnaires were distributed, out of which 160 were retrieved with a response rate of 94.1%. Cronbach's alpha test was used to ensure the reliability of data. Path analysis and structural equation modelling were also used to test the hypotheses. The results showed a positive relationship between process control, quality information, and logistical performance. The findings also revealed a positive relationship between staff training and logistical performance. Similarly positive relationship was also found between (problem solving and staff suggestions) and logistical performance. On the other hand, the study showed that knowledge capabilities partially mediate the relationship between total quality orientation and logistic performance. Based on that variety of recommendations were provided to manufacturing firms to respond to the requirements of customers and society and achieve high logistic performance | ||
