Abstract
The aim of this study was to understand the concept of psychological immunity, its importance for females with motor disabilities, and to investigate whether these individuals have appropriate psychological immunity. In addition, the study attempted to explore the participants' personal perspective in order to learn the best methods to improve their psychological immunity. The study employed the qualitative case study design. The sample consisted of 10 students (age16-22) were selected intentionally. The researcher applied an individual semi-structured interview to collect data from participants. In addition, the researcher used MAXQDA2022, a computer software, to conduct thematic analysis for data. The results found that psychological immunity was described as: a system consists of two components in which they interact to make thoughts, emotions, motives, personal and environmental resources of the individuals as shields protect them from psychological disorders, and reinforce their strengths. These two components were: a sense of control and defiance, personal development and goal-orientation in a way that helps individuals to increase the quality of their life. The results also showed that the participants had a clear perception about the concept of psychological immunity as they described as a synonym of the psychological health, and it protects individuals against psychological problems, it also has huge significance in dealing with stressors, threats, and surviving crises. Moreover, the results showed that nearly 40% of participants demonstrated some of the components of psychological immunity more than other counterparts
