| Abstract | ||
| The present study revealed that the total infection rate of 24.08% in general schools of this study, and 187 girls were suffered from head lice with rate of 31.53% from total females of 593 females and 11 males suffered from this infection with rate of 4.80 from total males of 229 students. The status of suffering was appeared in all ages and the higher rate was between ( 8 – 9 ) year with rate of 12.14% for females and 2.18% for males, then the age between ( 10 – 12 ) year with rate of 10.79% for female and 30.56% for males, as the rate of suffering was 8.60% for female and 0.87 for males and the rate of suffering was 18.38% in females, and 3.05% for males from illiterate mother, as the rate of suffering was 13.15% in females, and 1.74 for males from educated mothers and registered higher rate of suffering at girls of families that it's members is between ( 5 member above ) as 26.64% for females and 3.49% for males, on the other side the rate of student girls of families that it's member less than 5 member was 4.89% and 1.31% for males. The higher rate of suffering was registered between the long hair females students with 16.35% and 3.39% for males students, as the rate of short hair girl students was 15.17% and 0.87% for males. The higher rate of suffering in straight hair girls was 25.63% and 3.05% for males, and less rate in curly hair girls of 5.90% and 1.74% for males and appeared that the higher rate of suffering in thickness hair girls was 21.24% and 3.49% for males, as the less rate of suffering of thin hair girls was 10.28% and 1.31% for males. The study revealed and appeared the activity of using natural oil such as (garlic oil, almond oil, coconut oil) in getting rid of suffering with head lice particularly at mixing more than one oil together. | ||
