Abstract | ||
The objectives of the research were to identify evaluation level of continuing education courses, which held at college of agriculture and forestry /Mosul University, then to determine the variance in trainee's point of view according to some characteristics and to recognize the obstacles facing the training courses and the suggestions to overcome them. The research population consisted of (109) trainees distributed on six training courses, 20 of them were choosen for the pretest of the questionnaire and the study population consisted of 89 respondents. The data collected through a questionnaire form consisting of three parts. The first part included the trainees' characteristics. The second part included 32 criteria for evaluation of training in four fields. The third part included two open questions to explore the obstacles of training and development proposals. Face validity used for questionnaire. The Alpha-Cronbach method used to calculate reliability and its value was (0.7539). After the data collection, unloading and used classification: the frequency, percentages, weighted mean, percent weight, t-test, and f-test used to analyze the data. The results showed that the level of evaluation of continuing education courses in general averaged To the height, and the course (methods of transfer of agricultural techniques) achieved the first ranking in the evaluation with an average of (80.700) degree, while the final ranking of the course (agricultural experiments design and analysis) an average of (68,777)degree . The results showed that level of evaluation of continuing education courses is medium, there were no variance in trainee's opinions about evaluation according to their age, academic achievement, scientific specialization, experience period, and participation in previous training, the results showed some obstacles facing trainees and their suggestions to overcome them. | ||
