| Abstract | ||
| The study was carried out at the Poultry Farm belong to Animal Resources Department, College of Agriculture, University of Anbar during the period of 1/12/2013 to 11/ 1/2014, The objective of this study was to study the effect of adding Lycopen and Butylted Hydroxy Toluene (BHT) to diets and their effects on broiler's productive. Two hundred-and twenty five, one-day old unsexed Ross (308) chicks were used with average weight (38) gm, the birds were randomly distributed into five treatments with three replicate per treatment (15 chicks/replicate), T1 (control) without any additives, the second, third and fourth treatments included lycopen at levels (75, 150 and 225) mg/ kg diet respectively, the fifth treatment included adding BHT at level 200 mg/kg diet. The results revealed that treatments included addition lycopen at levels (150 and 225 mg/ kg diet) had significant increase in live body weight, body weight gain, feed consumption and accumulative feed conversion ratio of birds as compared with treatments and control which recorded (1.51 and 1.47 gm feed /gm weight gain as compared with T2 (75 mg lycopen/ kg feed), T5 (200 mg BHT/ kg feed) and T1 (control). Also the results show No significant differences in mortality. The results revealed a significant increase (p<0.05) in production index and economic figure of the birds of T3 and T4 which supplemented (150 and 225 mg lycopen/ kg feed) respectively as compared with treatments and T1 (control) which recorded lowest value | ||
