| The importance of research in planning for tourism sports a very important role in the development of tourist activity, to being a scientific approach to the organization and management of tourism activity in all its elements and patterns, it provides a common framework for decision-making in the management of tourism resources and provide the responsible authorities styles and trends that must routes, making it easy work and provides a lot of effort wasted in addition to increasing sports activities competitiveness and lay the research problem in the weakness of the tourism industry in the province of Basra, despite material and human resources and large natural owned by the province of Basra note that any investment in tourism is the fastest way to achieve the desired goals of development plans and aims to : 1 - building and design efficiencies planning form the sports tourism industry in the province of Basra. 2 - Develop a standardized measure levels of strategic planning for sports marketing 3 - to detect levels of efficiencies planning sports tourism industry in the province of Basra from the point of view of the research sample. The research sample was governor of Basra and a number of members of the provincial council and Sports Committee and the Investment Committee and head of the Directorate of Youth and Sports and the Chairman and members of the Olympic Committee and the Committee of Planning and Dean and a number of professors in the Faculty of Physical Education and the Rafidain Bank and Rasheed and Zain Iraq and Asiacell in Basra researcher has used the descriptive method Basra Lama The most important conclusions: - 1.
