| Abstract | ||
| This study aims to study thy reality of the irrigated arable lands in the province of karbala to find out the impact of the urban expansions over those irrigated arable lands ,identify its trends and to understand the range of changes taken place from 1990 to 2013. It is worth noting that the studying area comprises a wide arable lands , which include all natural and human elements , that assist in making it a productive area rather than a consumption one , especially the importance of agricultural utility is not only specified by the availability of farm and animal products , but according to its climate , esthetic and environment value , accordingly there is a dire need to utilize these elements to improve the production by quantity and quality to cope to the growing demand to the farm products and addressing all problems facing the agricultural utility . It is very necessary to maintain the rest of rich arable lands , rather than using them to establish urbane facilities , it is must to develop practical and convenient solution to address urban expansion , and prevent their inconvenient persistence expansion. | ||
