| Abstract: This study included spatial variation of the areas planted with cereals, production of which included crop (wheat and barley) Winter Kmahasil, has been relying on the administrative map of the province of Wasit Kkharth basis to represent agricultural distributions and on the basis of agricultural statistics on the level and the judiciary has been stockpiled in a special database has been employs a GIS to clarify this discrepancy, especially since the Wasit province occupies an important place on the level of Iraq in grain production, especially wheat and barley crops. Find a problem The research problem of wonder the following: 1. You could use a GIS in determining spatial variation of wheat and barley crops in Wasit province? 2. Is there a spatial variation in the amount of acreage and production of wheat and barley crops in Wasit province? 3. Is the role of climatic factors in cultivated wheat and barley spaces variation in Wasit province? Research Hypothesis You can use a GIS to determine the spatial variation of the wheat and barley crops in the study area and through articles in the form of maps, there is a variation where I am in the acreage of wheat and barley crops in Wasit province, and vary the amount of production from one place to another in the province, according to the differing climatic elements and characteristics soil. Aim of the research The research aims to know the spatial variation of the wheat and barley crops for land for cultivation and for productivity in Wasit province, and use of geographic information systems in GIS cartographic representation of these crops. Site study area: Astronomically: study area is located within the south-eastern part of central Iraq, between latitudes (155 431), (153 033) in the north and between longitudes (503 144), (513 446) to the east. Administratively: limiting the study area north of the province of Baghdad and Diyala province to the south by the province of Maysan, Dhi Qar and on the east side of Iran and the Maysan province to the west and is bordered Diwaniyah province of Babylon, as evidenced by the map (1). | ||
