Abstract | ||
To identify the most appropriate date for the weed control during the growth stage of maize. Implemented a field experiment in the research station Abu Ghraib-Agricultural Research Station, through the seasons Autumns 2011 and 2012, using RCBD for synthetic variety 5018 with three replicates and five treatment (weedy, spray pesticide before germination, spray pesticide before germination and hoeing after two weeks, spraying insecticide before germination and hoeing three weeks later, pesticide spray before germination and hoeing after the four weeks). The results showed superiority spray treatment in grain holds compared to the treatment of comparison (weedly) by 19 and 27% gave the spraying of the pesticide treatment before germination and hoeing, two weeks after the highest values of the quotient by 47 and 49% for two consecutive seasons. We conclude that the maize respond to manual control and chemical control, especially after two weeks of germination. Accordingly, we recommend against the control weeds during early stages of grow | ||
