Abstract | ||
This research deals with the most important findings of Arab Knowledge and historical News (Akhbar) in pre – Islamic period, based on the koran, which is the best and most authentic written Islamic Arabic source absolutely ; being an essential source for this study . for it shows great concern towards history , specially that of Prophets , Akhbar of perished nations such as ‘Ad’ ,Thamud, Ashab al – Fil , as well as others , which are repeated in several Kuranic verses being as a sermon or lesson to those Arabs opposing Islam . Moreover , the Koran contains clear hints about history and important events that took place in pre – Islamic era . Historical facts and archeological discoveries have Proved the authenticity of what the Koran mentioned , concerning perished Arabs , However , we may go further to say that it is more possible that the Arabs have had “books” , “papers” and “Parchments” on which they wrote “Akhbar” , Historical Knowledge in pre – Islamic times especially in the period that preceded Prophet Muhammad prophecy , though it did not come down to us , as we learn from the Koran. | ||
