Abstract | ||
The DC motor is an important part of an equipment in many industrial applications requiring variable speed and position controlling. This paper presents the design and implementation of a fuzzy logic controller for controlling the position of a DC motor. A microcontroller PIC16F877A has been used for implementation of fuzzy controller algorithm and the disk encoder technique with IR-reflector circuit has been used as position feedback detector for the control system. The pulse width modulation technique has been used for controlling the speed of DC motor when moving from one location to another depending on fuzzy algorithm. | ||
