Abstract | ||
: Abstract The Desertification phenomenon is considered one of the dangerous phenomena due to its Economical, Environmental, Health and Social challenge Iraq is one of the countries in the world that exposed to the risks of that phenomenon . This study tries to identify the progress of this phenomenon and analyze their reasons and Economical results, and suggest many solutions process.In general Iraq is exposed to a real desertification problem that threats the food security significantly by decreasing in land production due to salinization , soil logging and Deterioration of vegetation Alguete, then the horming of sand accumulation with sand storms,allthat due to the nature of the dry limate and semi-dry, and the rising of heat, in addition to that the human factors such as the lack of managing of Natural resources .In addition to all of that the shortage of water in the rivers of Iraq after the neighborhood countries executed Irrigation projects include storing and use the drainage water of Tigris and Euphrates which lead to decrease the share of Iraq ,abd the land that exposed to desertification more than 92% of the total land of Iraq. This raised was increased after 2003 ,and agreat land were out of production to become barren and desertification ,and all that participate in Deterioration of Food security of Iraq. | ||
