Abstract | ||
The study aims to identify the development of grain and foodstuffs prices during the Burji mameluke era ,and the causes of of their fluctuations ,and their effects on the segments of the egyptian society ,and the measures adopted by the state to limit the fluctuation of prices . The study concluded that the grain and foodstuffs prices witnessed severe fluctuations during the Burji mameluke era due to the corruption of the mameluke authority .and the prevalence of bribery to secure government jobs ,and the large number of mukus taxes, which led to a negative impact on the total conditions of the state particularly the economic part ,and also led to severe effects on the population. | ||
