Abstract | ||
Disagreement is inherent in man’s nature and the only means of communication between the disputing parties is dialogue through which people resort to reason rather than to whims and traditions. Dialogue is one of the values that Islam called for and advocated. It is also a way for calling for Allah. A close examiner of the Prophetic Sunnah will notice that it was full of dialogues through which many people embraced Islam; chief among which was Uday bin Hatim Al-Ta’i, who was the leader of his tribe. After the dialogue between Uday and the Prophet, Uday embraced Islam and thus he was saved from wrong doing. The story of his embracing Islam was full of lessons for those who are confused about their faith, and for those who call for Allah. This research presented and analyzed the story of Uday’s embracing of Islam because it was a minaret for callers to Allah and a model for dialogues with others. The story also revealed the great and noble manners and wisdom of the Prophet | ||
