Abstract | ||
The study was conducted determined some effect that may caused by administration of Trigonella foenum – graecum linn oil in the last third of pregnancy on the development and growth of mammary gland in mice . The animals were divided into 2 groups each one consisted of 5 males and 10 females , one male with 2 female in one cage for reproduction . the first group was control while the second group was given the effective dose of Trigonella foenum – graecum linn oil (0.5 ml) . After parturition the females was separated from each group and there is weights was determined after killing the mother , a spacemen of mammary gland were prepared for histopathology and a spacemen's of heart blood was collected for bio-chemical tests . The weight of mothers and their babies during lactation had been recorded . the results of study show that the Trigonella foenum – graecum linn oil in it is effective dose (0.5ml) was causes increased (p˂0.05) in the percent weight of mammary gland and the average of level prolactin hormone in blood serum and increasing in the average of daily weight of babies during lactation . | ||
