Abstract | ||
The present study has been conducted to identify the most common leaf spot pathogens of date palm Phoenix dactylifera and canary palm Phoenix canariensis leaves. The results of isolation and identification revealed the identity of the fungal of the following fungal pathogens: Alternaria alternate, Fusarium sp ., Ulocladium sp. and Curvularia sp.from date palm leaves, while the fungi of A . dianthicola , A. alternata , Fusarium sp and Cladosporium sp. were isolated from canary palm leaves. Results of pathogenecity test showed that each of isolated fungi were able to stimulate the leaf spot symptoms on both healthy leaves of date palm and canary palm. The optimal temperatures range for their growth was (25-30)OC | ||
