Abstract | ||
Al-Ma'moon was just and jurisprudent and considered to be one of the great scholars that the nation progressed in the days of his rule in the most fields of life and Arab sciences reached the apogee of development particularly after being acquainted with the sciences and arts of other countries. Translation played an influential and distinctive role in translating the sciences of these countries into Arabic in order to get use of it and Al-Ma'moon took care of this science, translation, and assigned men and manners and paid them lavishly and translation came to a developed phase in his time. For this reason the researcher intended in this paper to show the reader the stages that translation has went through and its progress and the Caliph's attitude to it | ||
