This research deals with the subject of urban sprawl and its impact on agricultural land in the city of Baghdad, which is the subject attention to him being become a problem faced by the city of Baghdad by razing agricultural land and turn them into the role of residential or other construction, whether organized urban or be free of any organization of urban and surpassing the services despite the existence of laws to prevent overtaking on the planning Automat farmland within the design basis for the city. This has led to urban sprawl throughout the city of Baghdad and the expansion of its size dramatically over the past several decades. The research study the causes of urban sprawl on farmland and its effects and to study how to reduce it through the use of means Altaktith Urban process. And crystallized in the research problem: There is a lack of cognitive role in unplanned urban sprawl on agricultural uses of territory in the city of Baghdad. The research was based on the achievement of his goal to the hypothesis that: (whenever changed laws Urban are unplanned and non-compliance schemes foundation and the increasing population growth in a particular area the greater the expansion and urban sprawl are unplanned and thus reducing the acreage of arable land and green areas surrounding and beneficial to the environment of that area) . In this paper, we try to know to what extent has affected this problem along building natural to the city of Baghdad across different points in time and through the discussion of three main axes, which was the reason for increased urban sprawl and represented by (state policy and laws) and (population growth of cities (f) poor urban planning and lack of commitment to structural drawings). Therefore, the objective of the study is to stand on the amount of imbalance in the use of agricultural land in the foundation designs as a result of the continuous process of change for these uses. The field study was a study of a group of agricultural land located in the outskirts of the city of Baghdad, which lies within the boundaries of the province of Baghdad as a case study for the application of the theoretical framework of the research within the field of practical schematic. Research Methodology: The study followed the descriptive and historical approach to clarify the factors affecting the urban sprawl at the expense of agricultural land, with the assistance of studies in government institutions and service. The study was based on aerial photographs and maps to explain the pattern of urbanization and encroachment on agricultural land in the city of Baghdad. The study concluded that the laws Urban changing and increasing population growth and lack of commitment schemes foundation for the city of Baghdad a role in increasing the amount of urbanization and encroachment on agricultural land and increase the proportion of built-up area and the lack of agricultural areas and the expansion of the size of the city of Baghdad and by giving licenses construction in these areas and to allow overtaking on farmland It reduces the area and thus to desertification. Research has recommended a range of mechanisms to solve the problem crawling on agricultural land, which lies within the boundaries of the province of Baghdad, which requires taking appropriate ways to stop this problem and ways to solve urban planning correct. | ||
