Abstract | ||
Nostalgia to native land is still one of the main themes tackled from ancient ages in Arabic literature. Poetry of nostalgia in the pre-Islamic period is restricted to the remains of the beloved's and the tribe's homeland but in the Islamic era, the concept of poetry of nostalgia develops. This research attempts to tackle the theme of nostalgia represented by nostalgia to the beloved, native land, and the patriotic verse such as pride poetry and the elegies of martyrs with examples from the most famous poets such as Ilia abu Madhi, al-Kansa, Jameel bin Mamar, Tameem bin Abi Mukbel, al- Nabiga al- Juadi, Hassan bin Thabit al-Ansari and others. It is observable that nostalgia becomes clearer in this era. | ||
