Abstract | ||
Expressions of stopping parameters (i.e. stopping number, energy loss cross section) and shell correction of swift proton in atomic target (Al) have been evaluated. This target characterized as a gas models as harmonic oscillator. At first, the of stopping number of this model for heavy projectile at low and high velocities are introduced. Then the calculation of shell correction and energy loss cross section of swift proton penetrating aluminum are achieved. The obtained results were rigorous, and discussed with previous experimental and theoretical results. Aluminum is chosen because of it frequent use in experiments and manufacturing the satellites and aircrafts, so the knowledge of stopping power gives indication to how to avoid the environmental pollution of space protons. All equations of theoretical formulas for interesting physical quantities are programmed in a program ESP-Pro.for written in Fortran-90 for the numerical calculations using a software Compaq Visual Fortran 6.6 . | ||
