Abstract | ||
This study was conducted to determine the effect of four levels of nitrogen fertilizer (0, 40, 80 and 120 kg N/ha) on yield and it's components of two bread wheat varieties (Ibba 99 and Sham 6) in Trjil region 6 km southern Kirkuk city by using (RCBD) design with three replicates. The results showed that Ibba 99 variety was significantly superior in most of traits were studied and the traits affected significantly by nitrogen fertilizer levels except harvest index, (120 kg N/ha) gave highest rate of grain yield (1170 kg/ha) and straw yield (3463.3 kg/ha) . Interaction between (Ibba 99 variety × 120 kg N/ha) gave highest rate of grain yield (1226.7 kg/ha) and straw yield (5243.3 kg/ha) . Positive and significant correlation found between all of the traits except 1000 grain weight and harvest index. | ||
