Abstract | ||
Aims to present research to identify the level of lateral thinking and problem-solving skills among the students of schools distinguished and ordinary in the light of the variable sex and educational level of the father and the mother. Was used for this purpose two measures, the first to measure the lateral thinking, and the other to measure problem-solving skills, The study sample consisted of 240 students and female students, of whom 114 male students and 126 female students distributors on the distinguished and ordinary schools. The results showed the following: 1- level of lateral thinking to all the sample and for ordinary students were (below average), while he was at the level of the Distinguished students (average). The level of problem-solving skills to members of the total sample (Ordinary and Distinguished) was (average). 2- Members of all sample (Distinguished, Ordinary) have received intermediate levels at each area of the scale problem solving. 3- There is a statistically significant correlation between the responses of the respondents on a scale measure of lateral thinking and problem-solving and four fields. As well as between the responses of the respondents on a scale problem solving and the four fields. 4-Differences between males and females in a sample Distinguished very small on the scale of lateral thinking. While the differences were too big between males and females among a sample the Ordinary on the scale of lateral thinking and in favor of females. 5- There is no statistically significant differences in lateral thinking, according to the variable achievement (Distinguished, Ordinary) and qualification (primary, secondary, university) to the father and the mother and the interaction between them. The current research has included a number of recommendations and proposals, according to the search results. | ||
