Abstract In this research the two new bioactive polymers were prepared by modification of polyvinylpyrrrolidinone (PVP) or polyvinylchloride (PVC) with Imidazol as known antimicrobial agent. The two prepared polymers P1 and P2 where characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR and UV. spectroscopies. The physical properties were studied, and intrinsic viscosities were measured . The controlled release rates for imidazole units were studied in different pH values at 37 0C. The swelling percentages were calculated, the two new bioactive polymers could be used a biomaterials in different health applications. | ||
