Abstract | ||
A wire house experiment carried in department of biology, college of education, university of Mosul and a laboratory experiment were made to show the influence of water extracts of two types of fenugreek (Indian and Iraqi) on the growth of fenugreek (Indian type) by planting the two types of fenugreek in two different soils texture (Hamam al-Aleel, Sada Wa Baweza soils) with exposing the plant into three levels of lightening (%45-%75%100) and spraying the plants with two different types of concentrations of Gibberellic acid (zero, 100) part of million, the results showed the water extracts surpass of fenugreek (Indian type) on the (Iraqi one) in dried weight of radical, plumule, leaf area, vital indicator and relative water contain, the water extracts of the plants planted in Sada Wa Baweza soil were surpassed significantly in germination rate, plumule length and radical, and the dried weight of the radical under the whole lightening (%100) in most of the above features in comparison with other lightening levels (%45, %75) except the decrease happened in the leaf area and on the other hand, spraying the plant with Gibberellic acid has showed positive effect in seeds germination, seedlings growth and also physiological characters in comparison with control treatment. | ||
