Abstract | ||
Although reading is important being one of the main skills by which the linguistic communication is achieved, numerous high schools do not pay attention to comprehension, particularly the implied, and criticism through reading. The schools do not also differentiate between the writer's opinions and ideas and the analysis and evaluation of what is read. Further, to link the information which the student acquires from reading with his previous knowledge and employ it to solve problems are far from being dealt with by those schools (Shahata, 1996, p.112). The teacher at most times neglects the reading lesson and makes it a break to have rest after the effort exerted in the other lessons. He also deepens this idea in the students' mind | ||
