Abstract | ||
The third dynasty of Ur (2114-2004 B.C.) is considered the last era in which the Sumerians ruled Mesopotamia. This means that this era represents the end of the Sumerian political life for no Sumerian dynasty ruled Mesopotamia after them. The center of their state was Ur so the rulers of this dynasty took great care of this city which became the political and the religious capital of the country for more than a century in which the city underwent a lot of architectural development in its religious and worldly buildings. The founder of this dynasty is King Urnamo (2112-2095 B.C) succeeded by his son Sholki (2094-2047 B.C.), King Amarseen (2046-2038 B.C.), then King Shuseen (2929-2037 B.C.), and the last Abi Seen (2028-2004 B.C.) | ||
