Abstract | ||
It is considered one of the distinctive schools in the history of Ahl-bait (Prophet's Household) (peace be upon them) because Shiites began in Iraq with the first companions of the prophet (peace be upon him) and with the beginning of the Islamic conquering battles when Shiite governors ruled Kufa such as Ammar bin Yasir and Abdullah bin Mas'ood. The school of Kufa developed during the period of Immam al-Sadiq (pbuh) and included about 4000 narrators. Most of them were from Kufa; this refers to the well-established complete school which was distinctive in spite of the hard circumstances that surrounded Immam al-Sadiq (pbuh) such as the hard political events and the various doctrinal trends: the injustice of the Umayyads and Abbasids, forced expatriation, violence, torture, and imprisonment. In addition, there were upheavals and revolutions and the appearance of various trends such as al-Murj'a, al-Ibadhiya, al-Ruzamiya and so on | ||
