Abstract | ||
The aim of this study is to recognize effectiveness of cooperative learning strategy in the acquisition of chemistry for the students in first intermediate class. To achieve the aim, the study has been applied to a sample of (50) students in the first intermediate class in Al-Raya High School divided into two groups. After making equivalence between the two groups according to age considering even months and scholastic acquisition of general science in the primary school, the first experimental group which involves (25) students has been taught using the cooperative learning strategy whereas the second control group has been taught in the traditional method. An acquisition test consisting of (30) multiple choice items has been prepared and its validity and reliability have been found. When the test has been applied to the two groups, the results reveal variations which have a statistical indication in the averages of the students' marks of the two groups in favour of the experimental group taught by the cooperative learning strategy. The study comes up with a number of relevant recommendations | ||
