The present study aims to detect the extent to which the researchers in the College of Media in The University of Baghdad go in resorting to electronic references available on the web in their scientific research. In order to achieve that aim, the theses and dissertations that did or did not use internet references, and their number over the period from 2006 to 2012, have been analyzed. The relation between different specialties and the use of internet sites has also been detected. Survey has been followed in collecting the data which amounts to 121 theses and dissertations
