Abstract | ||
The research aims to identify the social anxiety and social competence among the students of secondary schools and the differences which depending on the variables of gender , competence and the city in which they live student , amounted to sample the current ( 440 ) students were randomized from 12 schools in five provinces , dish researcher them measure of social anxiety for (Leary 1983) and a measure of social competence for (Sarason etal 1985), and using the chi-square and Pearson correlation coefficient and analysis of variance and coefficient Scheffe , research found that the sample has a sense of the average social anxiety with a statistically significant difference in it depending on and in favor of the male sex , and depending on the jurisdiction of the students and for the benefit of scientific competence , and the lack of statistically significant differences between students in five provinces in social anxiety . The results also indicated that the sample has a good level of social competence , and the lack of statistically significant differences where between males and females , and between students competent scientific and students competence literature , and the results indicated also to the presence of statistically significant differences in social competence among students in five provinces and in favor of students Salahuddin province , as the research found a correlation statistically significant correlation between social anxiety and social competence , and in the light of the results that have been accessed researcher presented a set of recommendations and proposals . | ||
