Abstract | ||
This study aims to discuss infant mortality under the age of year in terms of the direction the time and the contrast between place and another and reveal spatial relationships of the phenomenon under study through field survey destruction of records vital in the offices of death registration, which spread in the districts and the areas of the province as well as the use of form for the questionnaire. The study found that the rate of infant mortality was (25.1 per thousand) for the period (1997 - 2009), also showed that the rate recorded a general trend upward as well as spatial variation of infant mortality among the administrative units of the province of Basra, and the study found that most infant mortality in the province of Basra are the first ND any who are less than a month. | ||
