Abstract | ||
Abstract: The research focuses on the saying that" what can't be measured will not be managed". One of the most important goals pursued by banks to achieve is to reduce cost and boosts profit. This matter represents an essential target for banks to ensure their survival and continuity in an environment full of developments and challenges. However to do so, banks need to adopt a new technology for improving the quality of their services and products offered to customers as well as speed in operations and accuracy processes. The research aims at the verification of results of re-engineering processes technology increasing profitability at the housing bank cost and increasing profitability at the housing bank for trade and finance of Jordan for it is the first bank that has implemented such technology in the Arab world. The study makes use of the annual reports of the bank as a guidance which shows the results made by applying re-engineering processes. The periods chosen to be under analysis are: before using re-engineering processes from (1996-1999); during using re-engineering process from (2000-2003) and finally, after using re-engineering process from (2004-2007).the research comes out with the result that using re-engineering process plays a vital role in reducing the cost of banking services and products in addition to maintaining the quality of these services, and consequently, it leads to the increase of profitability for banks. Furthermore, adopting such a technology makes banks keep pace with technological changes in a challenging environment. | ||
