Abstract | ||
Field experiments were conducted on wheat ( Triticum aestivum L. ) at farms of agriculture college of Tikirit University in growing winter season of 2010 – 2011, to study the role of two types of phosphorus fertilizer ( Triple super phosphate & Diammonium phosphate ) at levels ( 0, 40 , 80& 120 kg. p. ha-1 ), and foliar application of manganese and copper on growth of wheat and uptake of P,Mn,Cu in gypsiferious soil. Wheat cultivater IPA- 99 was used in this experiment . Manganese was applied at three levels ( 0, 40 , 100, mg Mnℓ-1) as manganese sulphate ( 32 % Mn) while copper was applied at three levels ( 0, 10 , 20 mg Cu. ℓ-1 ) as copper sulphate (25% Cu). Application of phosphate fertilizer significantly increased dry matter , for TSP&DAP at P3 level compared with control treatment . Manganese and copper application significantly increased dry weight yield. DAP was better than TSP , and gave the highest dry matter yield .Phosphorus fertilizer application significantly increased phosphorus uptake compared with control. Foliar application of Mn and Cu significantly increased manganese and copper uptake.Level P3- Mn2Cu2 gave the highest uptake of phosphours,manganese and copper | ||
