Abstract | ||
The rate of Toxoplasma gondii infection in some rural populations of Babylon province among women 17-45 years was 56.3% Four hundred serum samples of pregnant women were tested for IgG by using Latex Agglutination Test(LAT).The study was cnducted from January ,to December 2009 and the higher prevalence was recorded in February and May,7.5% and 8.3% respectively.The infection among different ages were the highest prevalence in 25-2 (9.7%).The haematological parameters, RBCs, Hb, and Pcv values show that 8 years old toxoplasmosis pregnant women significantly lower (p<0.05) than the infected women.Differential WBCs count showed no change in neutrophils and lymphocyte and there was a significant increase (p<0.05) of eosiniphils and monocyte compared to that non infected pregnant women. | ||
