Background: Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is an autoimmune disease characterized by insulin deficiency resulting from cell-mediated and humeral autoimmune destruction of islet beta cells. The aim of the present study was to assess the occurrence of glutamic acid decarboxylase autoantibodies (GADA), islet cell antibodies (ICA), and antinuclear antibodies (ANA) diabetic patients of AL-Najaf city in Iraq. | ||
