Abstract | ||
This study was conducted to isolate and identify, Escherichia coli with endotoxin lipopolysaccharide (LPS) from 50 samples of cow raw milk of Mosul city collected between September 2011 to December 2011. E.coli was isolated from 32% of samples. In order to know the effect of E. coli LPS, it inoculated 0.1 ml intraperitoneally into albino mice. 24 hours later, animals were killed to investigate the pathological lesions. Histological results show the presence of lesion in the intestine, liver and cardiac muscles, lesions represented by sever congestion and hemorrhage in addition to necrosis and apoptosis particularly in hepatocytes and cardiomyocytes. In conclusion, this study showed that LPS extraction of E. coli which isolated from cow raw milk have effects on tissues of mice 24 hours post inoculation, represented by congestion, hemorrhage and necrosis of intestine in addition to apoptosis in hepatocytes and cardiomyocytes | ||
