| Abstract | ||
| This study was conducted in Ba’quba general hospital and Al-Batul hospital and Diyala Directorate of Water for the detection of Pseudomonas aeruginosa where 49 clinical isolates from patients were isolated and get to 17 environmental isolates from instruments and medical devices and galleries processes and corridors, toilets and tools used by patients in the hospital, as 15 environmental isolates were obtained from drinking water by Diyala Directorate of Water laboratories and 9 environmental isolates from the soil by bio-technology department-University of Baghdad. The ability of isolates to proteolytic activity was tested by using skim milk agar medium, all isolates were clinical positive, while 87% of environmental isolates were positive and tested the viability of 6 isolates from different clinical sources and 3 isolates from different environmental sources to produce alkaline protease were tested in submerged cultures. The results showed that the capability of clinical isolates were higher than the environmental isolates were as effective qualitative 57.6 units/ mg protein for the clinical isolates and 26.7 units/ mg protein for the environmental isolates | ||
