| Abstract | ||
| Ovarohystrectomy (OH) is the operation of removal the ovaries and the bulk of the uterus and it is commonly used in veterinary surgery. Present study was conducted to compare four different techniques for laparoscopic ovarohystrectomy in dogs. The study was conducted on 16 of the female domestic dogs and extremely sexually ranged from ages between 6 months - 3 years and between the weights of 15-20 kg. The test animals were divided randomly to four groups, each group 4 animals. The first group used the titanium clips and monopolar electrocautery to close blood vessels, in the second group extracorpora ligation was used to control bleeding, modified roeder knot was used, in group 3 Laparoscopic ovarohystrectomy was done by using Thermal Cautery. This tool was used for the first time. While in group four hand assist laparoscopy was used. Blood withdrawn from all animals before surgery and after surgery with 24 hours, 48 hours and 15 days for the purpose of measuring the level of habtoglobuline. Animals control for a whole month and recorded any complications may occur in animals, and was then a laparoscopic exploration was done after 1 month for any possible complication or adhesions or complications that have occurred in the abdominal cavity. The result showed that laparoscopic ovarohystrectomy (LOH) can be done successfully in all four techniques and Thermal cautery seems to be the best technique. Extracorporeal ligation spend more time 73.7±2.3 which was significantly more as compared with other techniques. The result showed there are no any significant increase in Habtagglobuline level when compared with the time before the operation, which confirms that there is no stress on the test animals also did not see any adhesions in animals when making exploratory surgery | ||
