Abstract | ||
Brucellosis is a systemic infection in which any organ or system of the body can be involved. It remains a diagnostic puzzle due to occasional misleading unusual presentations and non specific symptoms. This is a retrospective clinical study of 93 cases of brucellosis which was admitted to Tikrit General Hospital during the year (1987-1988). The main provisional diagnosis was Brucellosis, Pyrexia of unknown origin and Typhoid fever. The main symptoms were fever, gastrointestinal symptoms, headache joint pain, Sweating and Rigor. The most common signs were Splenomegaly, Hepatomegaly and Lymphadenopathy. | ||
