Abstract | ||
Many computer application (for example simulation and stream cipher) relay on the generation of a long random sequence, so the generation of a random sequence become an important issue, avoiding major problems, statistical properties and the need for a long cycle length with a small time of generation, as the relation between the time of the generation and the cycle length is a direct correlation. This research aims to find a modified algorithm based on the bitwise-XOR and rotate operations, trying to raise the randomness and increase cycle length without rising the generation time. The simulation results has been compared with similar methods previously adopted, and the results shown the improvement of randomness, long cycle lengths, and relatively shorter period of time. | ||
