Abstract | ||
In this work new metal complexes were prepared by reaction Schiff base (L) 3-(2-Hydroxy benzliden amino)-2- methyl -3H-quinazoline-4-one with transition metal ion. A new complexes of type (ML2) and [MLCl] where M=Ni(II),Co(II),Cu(II) and M=Zn(II), Cd(II) and Pd(II), with the new Schiff`s base (L) have been prepared and characterized by FT-IR , UV –visible , magnetic susceptibility , molar conductance , as well as elemental analysis (C.H.N) for ligand (L) and their metal complexes,in addition it was used .to determine the metal evilent in complexes. Metal to ligand [M:L] ratio was obtained for all complexes in (ethanol) using molar ratio method. These studies indicate that (L) acts as tridentate ligand. | ||
