Abstract | ||
Literary history along with intellectual and literary Arab Muslim present has known Al-Khaleel Bin Ahmed Al-Farahidi (100-175 H.), the linguist, grammarian and inventor of prosody and acknowledged him and his sciences, but I think no one learn about Al-Farahidi, the poet, that the books of linguistics, grammar and literature have reserved dozens of short poems ranging between two and nine lines of what he said in his life and professor doctor Hatim Salih Al-Dhamin (may god prolong his life) has worked to collect from many reliable resources and then to investigate in scholarly way for scholars and researchers to make use of as their attentions were turned into famous leading poets that our Arab Muslim literary heritage is rich with. Thus, he has made out of the poetry of that genius poet and nine of his alike his book which is entitled "Ten Poets of Little Poetry" and issued from Baghdad University in 1990. | ||
