Afield experiment was conducted in Abu-Ghraib region20km west of Baghdad during 2010-2011 to compare the different equipment in performance to injecting herbicides below the soil surface. Triflan herbicide was along with three types of inject machines made, modified and combined on the plows (moldboard plow, chisel plow and sweep plow) three tractors’ speed 2.55,4.32and7.00km/h ,and two tillage depths 10and 20cm were used for weed control. Properties were studied in this research included: percentage of slippage, Practical Productivity with the inject Machine and the percentage of weed control. The experiment was conducted using a split-split plot design. Under randomized completed block design (RCBD) with three replications. Least significant differences (L.S.D) was used to compare the means the treatments at 0.05 level. The results showed the following: 1-Increasing tractor speed from 2.55 to 4.32 and to 7.00 km/h caused significant increase in percentage of slippage 12.869%, practical productivity increased with injecting machine and the percentage weed control,0.721 ha/h. 2- Using inject machine lead to a significant increasing in percentage of slippage, 11.486% with chisel plow and decreased with sweep and moldboard plow 8.750 , 7.983% accordingly , and lead to a significant increasing in practical productivity with the inject machine, 0.638 ha/h with chisel plow and decreased with sweep and moldboard plow 0.460, 0.321 ha/h accordingly, and lead to a significant increasing in percentage weed control 91.750% with sweep and decreased with chisel plow and moldboard plow 86.450, 80.367 % accordingly . 3- Increasing operation depth from 10 to 20cm caused significant increase in percentage of slippage and decrease practical productivity with the injecting machine and percentage of weed control. 4- Di – Interaction The interaction between the tractor speed 2.55 km/h and the injecting machine with moldboard plow lead to a significant decreased in percentage of slippage, 5.650 %. and lead to a significant increasing in practical productivity with The inject machine with chisel plow and the tractor speed 7.00 km/h,0.960ha/h . And lead to a significant increase in percentage weed control 94.500% with sweep plow and the tractor speed 7.00 km/h . 5-Tri interaction The Tri interaction between the inject machine with moldboard plow , the tractor speed 2.55 km/h and depth10 cm lead to a significant decreased in percentage of slippage, 3.500 %and the Tri interaction between the inject machine with chisel plow, the tractor speed 7.00 km/h and depth 10 cm lead to a significant increasing in practical productivity with the inject machine, 1.00 ha/h. and the Tri interaction between the inject machine with sweep plow, the tractor speed 7.00 km/h and depth 10 cm lead to a significant increasing in percentage of weed control , 99.000 %. | ||
