| Abstract | ||
| The paper sheds light on the British control over Palestine and its role in supporting the establishment of the Zionist state. The National Palestinian Movement's situation of the British support to the establishment of the Zionist state in Palestine had been divided into two parts. The first part believed in the necessity of encountering the Zionist Movement solely, and to trying to win Britain to the side of the Arab right or eliminate it at least. The second part believed that Britain and the Zionist Movement were two sides of one coin therefore, they should be faced together, and to focus on Britain particularly. The most prominent leader of this part was Sheikh Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam who worked out a military organisation for that task. He declared an armed revolution against the British control over Palestine in 1935. That revolution convinced the other nationalists in the necessity of the military action against Britain and the Zionist Movement hence, Sheikh Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam Movement was the real initiator of the great Palestinian revolution | ||
