Abstract Okra harvesting was remained yet Manually due to the Nature growth of plant and it pods . In order to elevate the technical level for manual harvesting , and to reduce forces as well as to improve farmers performance, Several experiment have been conducted . So the am of this study is fined a manual cutter that several line . The aim deled with studying for farmers hand Movements during harvesting and determining . the manual cutting direction of pods . Four direction have been recorded , one of them was ward and the others were horizontal , with identifying pod catching movement . While the second deled with the study of pods detachment force and the effect of pods age with three levels (tow, four and six days) within the four direction that were identify in the first line . The results as were follows: 1- The detachment force increased with increasing age of pods age . 2- Detachment directions differed according to the recuired force for pods detachment. 3- The relative detachment force and the detachment force weight ratio were decreased when increasing age of pods . The second line studied the steps of design and manufacturing the cutter according to results of obtain of form previous . As well as studying the thump pres force and its dynamic state to get a steel support to which the blade was connected , then coated by rubber to take a shape that is similar to normal rubber gloves fingers , to be more convenient with work requirements . Regarding the second line experiment conducted to study the influence of the pods+ age (three levels as in the second line) land thickness (0.3, 0.4 and 0.5)mm, and the tip angle of the used blades (20ْ and 25ْ) on the cutting force, the main results were as follows :- 1- Increasing relative stem cutting force with increasing age, thickness of blade and blade tip angle . 2- Increasing relative stem cutting force, and the ratio of (cutting force/ pods weight) with increasing age, thickness of blade and blade tip angle . In the first and second line , study some of the physical properties of pods have been studied , these properties were pod length, diameter , weight , stem length | ||
