Abstract | ||
The current research deals with the reasons behind the development of languages as well as their means to do so. The research also throws some light on the most important techniques that should be followed by people with a view to enriching their own language by, for instance, acquiring new forms that would richen their language. To this end, the current study is furnished with a great number of examples that trace some lexical items that are considered foreign words by some researchers, but by tracing their linguistic roots it has been shown they are original and part of our language, Arabic. After having shed some light on the reasons that would enrich any language, The researcher moved on to discuss the linguistic borrowing that has appeared recently as a procedure enabling any language to cope up with any development in all aspects of life and fill the gap that might appear in any language. Then, the findings of the current study have been outlined. All in all, the study is an attempt to show that Arabic is a developing language being able to surmount science-and technology-related problems | ||
