Abstract | ||
This study was conducted at the Poultry Farm of the Animal Resource Department, College of Agriculture, Baghdad University, during the period from 8/10/2007 to 28/3/2009, to study the influence of egg sperm penetration on histological testes traits in White Leghorn cocks. The results as follow: 1) The means of testis weight, and relative weight in Hi treatment 13.26 gm and 9.80 gm/ kg of body weight, respectively. the semeniferous tubules diameter was 207.34 micron, lumen diameter 83.66 micron, and germ cells 115. 16micron. 2) The means of volume density for total semeniferoustub tubule:- spermatogonia, spermatocyte, spermatides, sperm, sertoli cells, vacuoles, lumen and basement membrane were: 15.23, 18.10, 14.53, 15.45, 20.23, respectively, whereas the relative weight were 1.49, 1.77, 1.46, 1.51, 1.98, respectively. 3) There is significant differential (P < 0.05) for volume density and the relative weight, leydige cells (13.09, 1.28), compared with Lo and Co treatment. | ||
