Abstract | ||
The paper compromises five sections: Section One: Introduction Senso-motion apprehension is of great significance in various physical activities as in gymnastics. Its importance lies all synchronizing movements throughout a sense that afford an ability to realize what is happening in the body’s organs during performance and feeling the movement which can be figured out in the good performance of a complex sport activity that requires a particular type of power. Therefore, the current paper aims at finding the relation between senso-motion apprehension and performing some skills on the beam in artistic gymnastics for women to heighten the skill-level of the sample under investigation. 1.2 The problem Due to the researcher’s experience in training and teaching, and as he is a teacher of gymnastics, he is able to recognize that there is a difficulty in performing certain skills on the beam accompanied by a complexity in feeling the movement when performing these skills. Thus the researcher chose to study this problem by finding the relation between senso-motion apprehension with some skills on the beam in artistic gymnastics for women and aiming at raising the sample’s skill-level. 1.3 The Aim The study attempts at finding the relation of senso-motion apprehension to some skills on the beam in artistic gymnastics for women in the sample under study. 1.4 Hypothesis The existence of a statistical relation between senso-motion apprehension and some skills on the beam in artistic gymnastics for women in the sample of study. 1.5 Scope of Study 1.5.1 Humanistic Scope: (22) first year female students in the School of Physical Education/ University of Garmian/ Khanaqin. 1.5.2 Time Scope: from March/ 1st/ 2011 to April/ 15th/ 2011. 1.5.3 Location Scope: gymnastics hall in the School of Physical Education/ University of Garmian/ Khanaqin. Section Two: History of Literature It includes; the concept of apprehension, the notion of sensing, senso-motion apprehension, senso-motion process, senso-motion significance in sports, some movement skills in artistic gymnastics for women, frontal skill in double rise rolling on the beam, frontal sskale on the beam. Section Three: Methods and Procedures The descriptive method with correlative relations is applied in the paper. The researcher chose a sample of (22) female students out of (30), a group of tools and devices is set for use in the study, as well as specifying the motion skills and their tests, in addition an exploring experiment is done which is followed by testing and data recording. Section Four: Discussion The paper’s hypothesis is not verified through statistical operations after finding mathematical mediums, criterion perversities, and correlation formula (Pearson) because differences were insignificant in tests results, therefore, there was a refutation of the substitutional hypothesis and a reliance on the zero hypothesis. Section Five: Conclusions and Recommendations 5.1 Conclusions 1. Results showed no significant variations between frontal skill in repeated double rising on the beam and the senso-motion test of vertical jumping space. 2. Results showed no significant differences between frontal scale test on the beam and the senso-motion apprehension testing of vertical jumping space. 5.2 Recommendations 1. The necessity to improve senso-motion apprehension skills in gymnastics training. 2. Applying the study’s method of testing in training. 3. Accomplishing similar studies on different samples and other essential skills. | ||
