Abstract | ||
Abstract: An Experiment was conducted during growing 1/7/2010 until 30/5/2011. in a private nursery at Hilla governotate (Nursery of Jennt Al-Ahlam) , to study the effect of foliar application of PRO.SOL nutrient solution and Liquorice extract on growth and flowering of Geranium (Pelargonium zonale L). Cultivar "Hans Rigler" .the experiment included test of three concenterations of Nutrient Solution PRO.SOL (0,1.0 and 1.5) g.L¹ and three concenterations of Liquorice Extract (0,1.5 and 3.0)g.L¹ The Experiment was conducted as Factorial Experiment Randomized Complete Block Design(R.C.B.D).Duncans Multiple Range test was used at propapility of 0.05 to compare means.Results showed that: Spraying plant with Nutrient Solution of PRO.SOL at (1.5) g.L¹ or Liquorice Extract at (3.0) g.L¹ significantly increased on Growth Vegetative and Flowering Parameters. as compared the control treatment. Meanwhile interacton between Nutrient Solution of PRO.SOL at (1.5) g.L¹ and Liquorice Extract at (3.0) g.L¹ significantly increased mean leaf area (3.85 cm-2), and leaf contents of total chlorophyll (121.53mg.100g¹ fresh weight), and total solubile carbohydrate (7.98mg.g¹dry weight) ,nitrogen leaf contents (5.65gm.kg¹) , phosphorus (1.19gm.kg¹ (and zinc (18.72mg.kg¹) of Spring season. and mean of number florets.plant¬¹ (1.99florets.plant¬¹) of Autumn season and (3.59florets.plant¬¹) of Spring season and dry weight (0.86g) of Autumn season and (0.94g) of Spring season and content flowers of anthocyanin (12.88mg.g¬¹) of Spring season , and gave increased interacton between Nutrient Solution PRO.SOL at (1.5) g.L¬¹ and Liquorice Extract at (1.5) g.L¬¹ significantly increased the total branch number (7.05branch.plant¬¹) and shoot dry weight (7.94g) of Spring season, Meanwhile gave control treatment least mean on on Growth Vegetative and Flowering Parameters. | ||
